The Vacant Shapes are the degeneration of Rock ‘N Roll music. Post-hipster, never been surfing, Californian garage rock, simple enough for your hypoallergenic cat to play. They write songs about things no one cares about. Like being disconnected from their generation, the frailties and ephemeral nature of youth, bad habits, love, hate, patterns and other basic human feelings. Worst yet, they do so in ways filled with contradictions, irony, and not good grammar. So, despite the lack of gender diversity, The Vacant Shapes are what you’d expect; from three dudes who met on missed connections.
